ADVENTURES IN WEAVING

At HV Skola we’ve had the great fortune of learning that weaving can be so much more than a shawl, a piece of cloth or a rug. We’ve had the opportunity to learn traditional ways of weaving on a treadle loom and giving it our own twist. Below are some of the projects I’ve been working on the past three years.

Before coming to HV Skola I had more or less never seen a loom let alone been shown how to use one. Weaving is a great skill to have it teaches you patience a hard learned lesson for me. I like speed but weaving takes time. There are a lot of steps to be taken before your yarn has turned into a textile.
